TEMPERAMENT Megan is kind, gentle, and easy.  In the field, she turns it on.  In the house, she is a dream.  Easily trained and willing to work.  Meg is one in a million. 

KEY SKILLS Always keen to work, at 12 ½ Meg is incredibly healthy and continues to love waterfowl and upland hunting, training, and Scent Detection work.  She is a Canadian National Master Hunter, Canadian Field Trial Champion, Qualified for 4 Nationals, has obtained Amateur Field Trial points, is Qualified All Age in the US, is a Grand Master Hunter, a Master Hunter and obtained her SD-S in her first attempt. 

In 2019, Meg was asked to be the Official Test Dog for the Canadian National Retriever Field Trial Championships, held in Brighton, Ontario.  It was an incredibly special honour and Meg performed admirably.  For me, it was the honour of a lifetime to stand beside Meg at that National, knowing that it would be her final “competitive” performance.  She did not disappoint and in fact, she rose to the occasion.

PREVIOUS LITTERS In 2013 Meg was bred to NFC FC AFC Fresh Squeezed Juice and produced a litter of 3 puppies – 2 boys and a girl.  Both boys have excelled at Field Trial in Canada and the US, while the girl is happy as a family companion in Minnesota.
